The Missionary Window

The Missionary Window, like the Communion Window, is made of mouth-blown antique glass that has been extensively painted in the Neo-Gothic style, with multiple borders and many symbolic medallions. The top medallion features three fish joined together in a circle and surrounded by a glowing  golden halo, symbolizing the full net of the apostles at the Miraculous Draught of Fishes (Luke 5:1-11). The primary almond-shaped medallion features an open Gospel Book that reads, “And He Saith Unto Them, Go Ye into the World. Preach the Gospel to Every Creature, Ye that Believe” (Mark 16:15). Below the open book are a globe and a ship under full sail representing the mission of the church to spread the word to all peoples.

In memory of Yeizer Morris Bickle (1831-1909) & Henrietta Parker Bickle (1843-1917)
