Prayers

Prayer is an ongoing, important ministry for Trinity Church that grounds our spiritual lives. Below are ways you can request prayers if you, a loved one, or a friend needs to be prayed for at Trinity Church. Please fill out the prayer request form indicating which list(s) you would like to add someone to and/or to ask questions:

Prayer List

Our prayer lists are structured in two lists. The first comprises of people with new, acute, or time-sensitive needs (for instance, new diagnoses, surgeries, medical procedures, or other life challenges or crises). Their names are spoken during the Prayers of the People for four Sundays, after which they will roll off, although upon request, they can be added to the second list, which is those who are in need of continuing prayer. This list will be included in the back of the Sunday bulletin and will be referred to every week during the Prayers of the People. Please fill out the prayer request form above or call the office, 540-886-9132, to add anyone to either list. Read more about Trinity’s Prayers of the People in Rev. AJ’s blog post.

Prayer Chapel

More than merely historic and beautiful, Trinity Episcopal Church is also a vibrant community of faith. Please add your prayer requests by visiting Trinity’s prayer chapel, to the right of the pulpit (by the Passion Window and Nativity Windows). Light a candle. Say a prayer. Enjoy the quiet. Worship the Lord in the beauty of the holiness.
