The Work is Not Whole Without You

We’re making wonderful progress — and we need you.

We give thanks for the extraordinary generosity of those who have already pledged to the Generation to Generation campaign. Their gifts are a testament to faith in action. But this work is not finished — and it is not whole without you.

Since 1746, Trinity has stood as a witness to God’s love in the heart of this community — founded “to support the widows and orphans, and to bury the indigent.” Generation after generation, faithful stewards have preserved this sacred space so that ministry could flourish. Now, we have a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to receive more than $500,000 from the Commonwealth of Virginia to preserve and renew our historic campus — but only if we raise the matching funds together.

Every gift matters. Truly. Whether large or small, your participation is what allows us to say: this is our church, built together, by many hearts and hands.

Preserving our buildings is important — but the true purpose is what happens within them. Here, we feed the hungry. We teach our children. We work for healing, for justice, and for peace. We worship, grieve, celebrate, serve, and grow. Whether you stir soup in the Noon Lunch kitchen, sit quietly in prayer during Eucharist, reflect on scripture and literature in a book group, listen as a child sings in choir, find respite at the Memory Café, worship weekly or come just a few times a year to find beauty and hope — you are part of this ministry. This place has touched you, or someone you love. And now it’s time to pass it on. We build today so others may be welcomed tomorrow. From this generation, to the next — and the next.

Will you be part of this work? Please prayerfully consider how you can contribute to this work and submit your pledge form on or before June 8th, the date of the Parish Pentecost Picnic.

Trinity is your church. Your ministry. Your home.
