Valley Homeless Connection

Besides providing a church home for all of us, Trinity Church is also a place of rest and relief for many people who are experiencing, or at risk of, homelessness. We are so thankful to everyone who has participated in making Noon Lunch an integral part of our ministry. Noon Lunch is just one piece in the puzzle of local organizations that aid the homeless or at risk of homelessness. You may have seen people enjoying our peaceful churchyard between Noon Lunch meals. If you happen to engage with someone struggling with housing, connect them with Valley Homeless Connection, which serves Staunton, Waynesboro, Augusta County, Lexington, Rockbridge County, and Highland County with diversion, shelter beds, housing support, and needs-based assistance. Additionally, Valley Homeless Connection shared this great list of regional access points for intakes and referrals:

  • Valley Homeless Connection: 540-213-7347
  • VCSB Homeless Services Line: 540-213-7347
  • Walk-In @ Valley Mission Mealtimes, WARM Outreach Line: 540-254-7888
  • Rockbridge Area Relief Association: 540-463-6642
  • SSVF: 540-283-4918 (veterans only)

We hope these resources will support you in navigating how to help people, whether through connecting someone with an organization or finding a volunteer opportunity.
